Flea markets

During a holiday in France of course a visit to one of the many flea markets may not be missed. There are flea markets of choice for fun trinkets, accessories or interior items.

Noirlac abbaye

The breath taking vaults, the gothic hallways are showing that this abbey is built with a lot of love, passion and craftsmanship in the 12th century. Because of this, Noirlac abbey belongs to one of the most beautiful abbeys of France.

Castle of Culan

10 minutes from Bonneblond, close to the border with the Cher (Centre) department, is the castle of Culan. The castle stands majestically on top of a high and steep cliff with a magnificent view of the surroundings and the Roman bridge. Historical names have stayed in the castle as Joan of Arc (1430), the writer George Sand and her love Chopin. The large fireplaces featuring a picture of what life was like in a castle in the Middle Ages. The castle displayes sketches along with dioramas and dolls from the fifteenth century.


Take a jump!

True daredevils can bungee jump from a Roman bridge. The bridge has a nice view at the castle of Culan. On certain dates you can jump under the guidance of a professional team. Ask us for more information.

Chateaumeillant

Is a cozy little village with an ancient history dating from the Gallic time. On Friday a market where various local products are for sale. Chateaumeillant is famous because it belongs to a famous little wine regions of France. Many small vineyards adorn the area. Through a wine route you can drive along the vineyards by car over idyllic country roads. Every now and then you come to a cave, where you can taste the wine and buy it!
